Serving god by serving students
How God shows up in a place where I can’t say His Name
Who I Write For
I write with the goal of restoring the trust that has deteriorated between communities and their teachers. As such, I write for parents, community stakeholders, educators, and students in the public school system. I don’t speak for every teacher – Christian or otherwise. I can only speak for myself, and I speak in the spirit of reducing and (perhaps one day) eliminating the “Danger of a Single Story” to which too many Americans fall victim in today’s Information Age.
About the servanTeacher
As a girl, I always knew I was meant to do two things. Number One: Be a mom. I always just knew I was meant to be a mom. Number Two: God whispered to my tiny ears almost every Sunday as I prayed in church, “You are going to change the world.”
I’m so blessed that my husband picked me to be his wife, and I love being a mom to our two children. As my husband and I work to find and follow His path for us, I am more and more convinced that the work He has set before me is in education and literacy.
